KARABAR HOUSING COOPERATIVE LTD

Karabar Housing Cooperative Ltd operates as a charitable community housing cooperative on a not-for-profit basis in accordance with Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC) and NSW Registry of Cooperative requirements.  The Cooperative was approved for registration as a  community housing provider in the National Regulatory System for Community Housing in 2024 (www.nrsch.gov.au).

 

At Karabar Housing Cooperative we continue to be driven by the same ideals the organisation was founded on in 1986.  We believe a place to call home has an enormously positive impact on an individual's quality of life and well-being.  Our mission is to provide quality, affordable housing for people on low to moderate incomes in the Queanbeyan region.

We maintain a professional corporate approach to business management and governance.   We are conscientious about maintaining each property to a good standard. We provide an efficient and effective housing management service and encourage tenants to take responsibility for and get involved in managing their homes.

We are compassionate and collaborative in identifying and meeting the changing needs of tenants and engage like-minded stakeholders to work with us to achieve positive outcomes for all our members.
