BUILDING SOLID FOUNDATIONS FOR THE FUTURE OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN THE QUEANBEYAN REGION
Karabar Housing Cooperative is always on the lookout for potential projects and partnerships to address the shortfall in affordable housing in the Queanbeyan region.
Currently, the Karabar Housing Cooperative Board of Directors is excited to explore two initiatives in Queanbeyan which are set to yield up to 35 new one, two and three-bedroom affordable dwellings within the next three years.
Significant fundraising effort is required for their achievement.
All three levels of government are expressing positive interest in the projects.
The Board is also grateful for the assistance of its fellow members on Q-HAC and the support of community members with an interest in homelessness and affordable housing.

Karabar Housing Cooperative has provided long-term affordable housing to singles, couples and families in the Queanbeyan region since its incorporation in 1986.
But the need for rental security and affordability has never been greater and we desperately need more homes.
